Judging Criteria
The jury will carefully evaluate all entries based on the following criteria.*
While all entries are judged against the Festival’s core criteria framework, the weighting and interpretation of each criterion may vary by discipline and category. Entrants should refer to the category description for specific guidance on what judges will be looking for.
Planning
Strategy, objectives and approach
Judges will consider the thinking behind the work, including the challenge or opportunity, objectives, audience understanding, insight, and overall strategic or creative approach. Entries should clearly explain the rationale behind key decisions and outline how success was intended to be achieved and measured.
Execution
Creative craft, implementation and delivery
Judges will assess how effectively the idea, campaign, experience, or initiative was brought to life. This may include creative quality, storytelling, design, production, implementation, media execution, user experience, or operational delivery, depending on the category entered. Supporting materials (images, videos, PDFs, URLs) should clearly demonstrate the execution of the work.
Results
Outcomes and effectiveness
Judges will evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the work against its stated objectives. Entries should provide measurable outcomes where possible and demonstrate audience, business, cultural, or societal impact relevant to the category.
